Twitter Competition: Tweet and Win Tickets to the Badilisha Live Poetry X-Change in Cape Town

Alert! The Badilisha Poetry X-Change, coming up on Friday and Saturday 21 and 22 May at the old City Hall in Cape Town, is sponsoring a Twitter competition that will see lucky tweeters win tickets to the event, Exclusive Books vouchers and more.

From the Africa Centre, Badilisha’s organising body:

To celebrate the launch of Badilishapoetry.com, and the upcoming Badilisha Poetry X-Change festival (Cape Town, 21st- 25th May), the Africa Centre is giving away some very poetic prizes.

Here’s how the competition works:

• The best tweets finishing the sentence “Poetry is…” and incorporating the hashtag #badilisha will win the prizes
• The prizes are: Two 1st prizes of two tickets each to the Badilisha Poetry X-Change (one set of tickets per night); A 2nd prize of an R250 Exclusive Books gift voucher; and 3rd prizes of Badilisha t-shirts and CDs
• The Badilisha Poetry X-Change organisers will judge the tweets; their decisions are final
• The competition closes on Wednesday 19 May, so you have a week to get your tweets in order
